What this involves

An investor visa grants UAE residency on the basis of a qualifying investment — most commonly ownership of a UAE company, but also property purchase or capital deposit depending on the route taken.

For most founders, the company-ownership route is the practical one: you incorporate, then apply for residency as the owner. Property-based routes require a minimum property value and are usually pursued alongside a Golden Visa application.

Investor visas are typically issued for two years and are renewable for as long as the underlying investment is maintained.

Common questions

How much do I need to invest?

It depends on the route. Company ownership has no fixed federal minimum for a standard investor visa, though individual authorities set their own share-value thresholds. Property and capital routes have defined minimums, which also feed into Golden Visa eligibility.

Should I apply for a Golden Visa instead?

If you meet the threshold, the Golden Visa gives ten years instead of two and does not tie your residency to a sponsor. We assess both against your circumstances rather than defaulting to whichever is quicker to process.
