About these figures

Why is this a range rather than one number?

Because a single figure would imply a precision that does not exist until we know your exact activity. Government fees vary by activity category, some activities need external approvals that carry their own cost, and visa pricing shifts with nationality and whether the applicant is already in the UAE. The range is honest; a single number would not be.

What is not included in this estimate?

Medical insurance for visa holders, VAT and corporate tax registration, bank account minimum balances, attestation of foreign documents, and any activity-specific approvals. We itemise all of these in a written quote once we know your situation.

Are these first-year or recurring costs?

First year. Renewal is typically lower because establishment card and visa processing are not repeated annually — though visas renew every two years and the licence renews annually.

Why is mainland so much more expensive?

A mainland licence requires a physical office with a tenancy contract registered on Ejari, which is usually the single largest line item. Free zones allow a flexi desk or no facility at all, which removes that cost. If you do not need to sell directly into the UAE market, a free zone is almost always cheaper.
