What this involves

Medical insurance is mandatory for every UAE resident, and as an employer you are legally required to provide it for your staff. Cover must meet the minimum standards set by the health authority in your emirate — DHA in Dubai, HAAD in Abu Dhabi.

Beyond medical, most companies need workmen's compensation, and depending on activity may need professional indemnity, public liability or goods-in-transit cover.

We arrange cover through UAE insurers and make sure the policy actually satisfies the regulatory requirement for your visas, rather than leaving you to discover a gap at renewal.

Common questions

Is medical insurance actually mandatory?

Yes. In Dubai and Abu Dhabi employers are legally required to provide cover meeting the health authority's minimum standard, and a residence visa will not be issued or renewed without it.

Can I choose the cheapest available plan?

Only if it meets the regulatory minimum for your emirate. Below that it will not satisfy the visa requirement, and you will end up buying twice.
